Simon Hegele subsidiary Kilian Metallverarbeitung GmbH awarded as best supplier 2020

Kilian Metallverarbeitung GmbH, since January 2020 a company of the Simon Hegele Group, was awarded as the best supplier of the year 2020 in the category "MR Supply Chain Quality Performance" by its customer Siemens Healthineers Magnetic Resonance in February this year. The award was delayed and presented digitally this year due to the pandemic.

Founded in 1895, the company, which specializes in the design and manufacturing of transport racks for large-scale medical equipment, wins the award based on its excellent performance in the Quality category for its Magnetic Resonance (MR) business.

Kilian has been manufacturing special metal construction for the highly sensitive medical equipment of Siemens Healthineers since 1991, in order to permanently protect the large-scale equipment during its transport. Each frame is designed and manufactured individually and custom-made for the respective product. This ensures the best possible quality and functionality.

Kilian managing directors Mike Winter and Gerhard Kilian are particularly proud of this award: "For us, quality and customer satisfaction are our top priorities. Such an award gives us both confirmation and incentive to grow even further with and for our customers and to convince them with the best quality," says Mike Winter.

Siemens Healthineers' best suppliers are selected at the end of each fiscal year on the basis of monthly supplier assessments. This year's award for Kilian is not the first; the company was already honored by Siemens Healthineers in 2005 - at that time for its very good cooperation and outstanding performance.
