- Rack storage: Customizable racks that can hold standard pallets (48 x 40 x 48) or, when adjusted by height and depth, to hold larger items
- Open floor storage: An area suitable to store very large items, like full machinery, or heavy medical equipment that needs extra spacing, or devices that will be moved quickly in and out of the facility
- Cryo farm: A space housing 24 climate-controlled bays to connect MRIs in storage to prevent excess helium loss with 24/7 monitoring
What Sets Us Apart
With over 6.4 million square feet of high-quality warehouse space globally, the Simon Hegele team knows what it takes to properly handle your product. Our ISO 9001, medical-grade facilities are designed to store valuable and sensitive equipment. All of our warehouses maintain a high level of security and cleanliness with options for storage in temperature and humidity-controlled areas. Our cloud-based warehouse management software integrates smoothly with ERPs and provides customers with online access to review inventory. Other important differentiators include:
Training
Our warehouse staff is specially trained to handle medical devices. They have experience securing equipment for storage or picking and packing devices for ground, air, or ocean shipping.
Collaboration with Customers
Our warehouse staff works with our customers to develop the best solutions. For example, when loading an MRI shipment of 30 crates, we have worked with our customers to know which pieces of equipment need to be removed, uncrated, and placed in the hospital rooms first. We load the truck in the most efficient manner, so the first pieces off the truck are the first pieces required in the room. We also have the ability to properly package and crate large scale heavy equipment for international transit via ocean and air freight in our facilities
Quality Assurance
We take photos of all incoming and outgoing shipments recording part number, quantity, shock indicators, and tip indicators to ensure product safety. That data is automatically sent to our customers to confirm inbound and outbound product quality.
Cycle counts are continually conducted to assure inventory accuracy. Additionally, team member training is tracked as part of our quality system and safety training is renewed annually.
Heavy Equipment
Our facility and staff are equipped to manage extremely large, heavy equipment. We have a 17.5-ton overhead drive-in crane, which allows for easy loading and unloading of the heavy machinery or equipment directly to or from the truck. Our warehouse also includes a variety of rigging equipment for safely moving and loading heavy equipment such as MRI and CT gantries.
Worldwide Transportation
We offer local, national, and international transportation using our own rolling stock and drivers as well as through extensive partnership with trusted and experienced transportation providers for domestic, LTL, and overseas shipments.
